I Am Kebba!
Kebba was born and raised in the Harlem / Washington Heights area of New York City. But it was while attending Temple University in Philadephia, PA that his passion for music took control. Although his strongest attributes were his status as the “Professional Good Time” on the party scene, promoting and marketing for local parties under Spades Entertainment and Boombastics, Inc. his ability to rap would soon take precedence.
By 2006, Kebba performed in a private artist showcase for Alicia Keys’ Krucial Keys company in New York City in which the superstar proclaimed that he had “it” and was destined to make it in the world of music. Later that year, he caught the attention of representatives of multi-platinum producer Timbaland through music he had on myspace.com, which garnered him an artist spotlight on bluri.com. His music even caught the ear of Mayme Johnson, who was the widow of famed Harlem Gangster, Bumpy Johnson enough for her to put him on the cover of her husband’s book “Harlem Godfather” and consent a biographic song on him.
Since 2008, Kebba has released four projects entitled ‘M Y World’, ‘1158’, ‘@iamkebba, The Mixtape’ and “MKS”, selling units in the U.S., London, Norway, Sweden, Brazil, and Germany via itunes.com, amazon.com, and his official website www.iamkebba.com. Without any major label support, he has been featured in print articles, hundreds of websites, and even done interviews at radio all the way overseas in London. With witty wordplay and unique content, his gift to the music industry isn’t his region, the fact that he went to college, or that he hustled…it’s simply Kebba.
